Dialogue 1:

While I was taking my Chinese medicine, Xixi stand beside me in the dry kitchen.

Me: 走开，妈咪吃药。(Go away, mummy taking medicine)
Xixi: 喝多多水hor, 慢慢吃！(Drink more water hor, eat slowly)

!@#$%^ She was repeating the same words to me which I’ve told her last time when she took her medicine.

Dialogue 2:

I was scooping the Kiwi and feed into her mouth.

Xixi: Aiyoh… 太大口料！(too big portion already)
Me: 不要紧啦，你嘴巴够大！(Never mind, your mouth is big)
Xixi: 哦。跟爸爸一样大。。(Oh, as big as Papa’s mouth…)

LOL…. I almost fainted when I heard these… Hahaha!

Dialogue 3:

I and hubby co-sleep her at night

Me: 希希，妈咪去toilet hor, 爸爸陪你睡okay? (Xixi, mummy go toilet, Papa sleep with you okay?)
Xixi: （推开我）滚！滚！滚！(GO! GO! GO! While pushed me away… )
Hubby: 哈哈哈哈。。。 (HAHAHAHA!)

OMG… She must be learned the word “滚”from her Papa!!

Dialogue 4:

I applied some soothing gel on her buttock after she kena beat by me

Me: 希希，屁股还有痛吗？(Xixi, your butt still got pain?)
Xixi: 有。 Oh-Cheh 料。 (Yes, got “Oh-Cheh” bruise)

10 minutes later, I asked her the same question again.

Me: 希希，屁股还有痛吗？(Xixi, your butt still got pain?)
Xixi: 没有，消掉料。(No more pain already)

I think her speech has improving a lot. She learned most of the words from our daily converstation. So we better watch out now, no dirty words... hahaha! If not she will really surprise us with those words one day!

。。。 看诊室传来一阵惨叫声。

哌噻，希望本人没有吓坏在外等候的病人。

当然，那四枚针“钻”进并竖立在两个膝盖上，

那痛不是盖的！！

膝痛难耐，内心一番挣扎后，
最终还是得吵着老公载我去看医生。
因为挨针已是意料中事。
医师说这痛是因为软骨互相摩擦而引起。
一般大多发生在“年纪较大”的人身上。!@#$%^&*
而我的情况则因过度的剧烈运动所导致，
换句话说，为了不让膝盖继续受伤，
我得暂时停止一切运动，包括跑步。
呜呼。。。
目前已经停跑几天的我真的不想就此放弃晨跑。
虽然每天得牺牲睡眠摸黑起床，
但毕竟跑步相当之有益身心。
但一切都要等膝盖康复后再说。
希望两天后的施针能够让我从此摆脱膝痛。
以后跑步最好都穿上那超贵的膝盖保护垫。
哎！这一切都怪罪于怕输的我。
一下子跑五公里还洋洋得意！
不说了。。。 免得老公又在碎碎念。

Spending Money Wisely

Being a mother, I never stop shopping for my lovely girl. But during these economic downturns, I must make sure every single cent I spend is worth wile. As you know spending on babies and toddlers products can became very expensive nowadays; therefore I only spend on necessary items and avoid spending on unnecessary things like branded clothing and luxury toys.

Besides the toddler clothing that we normally spend in; I think educational toys and games are the second most things we will normally buy for Xixi. As I mentioned earlier Xixi loves to play puzzles, so I have bought quite many sets of puzzles for her lately. I must say I was glad enough to see her achievement, as she is able to fix the 6pieces puzzles by her own now! I believe learning through games and toys is surely a fun experience for a young children liker her. As long as she learned something from it, she enjoyed it; I think I wouldn’t cut down spending on her educational materials.

Sweet Potato Donuts (甜甜圈)

I came across this sweet potato donut recipe from My Kitchen Snippets the other day and happened that I have all the ingredients in my fridge so I decided to make donuts today.

This was my first attempt in making donuts, I'm glad as the result was very satisfying! I have made 10 donuts by using the total ingredients, gave some to my parents and my auntie; left 4pcs for my 2 donuts fans at home. =)

So look, one of my loyal donut fans is happily munching her 爱心甜甜圈 favourite homemade donuts =)

Xixi First Movie Experience

We brought Xixi to watch “Ice Age 3” on Saturday (11-July) after met up with Agnes. It supposed to be a fun movie, but it turns out not a pleasant movie experience for us… I guess it still not a right timing to bring my 2 year old for a movie yet. She still very timid towards the dark movie theater environment yet; she get frightens several times by the loud sound system and the big screen didn’t attract her attention either. We leave the theater half way after 45minutes from the movie starts because we really can’t bear seeing this little timid girl showing us her pity face and sobbing with two hands covers her eyes. Adoi… although I and hubby tried very hard to comfort her, calm her down and talk to her trying to makes the story lines more interesting but in the end she still very insist to 回家！回家！go home!!

Really regrets to bring her for such an animation movie… She might get frighten by the “real like” dinosaur and others animal like elephant. She even had night mare these few nights! She cried and awake middle of the night and telling me she saw “dinosaur” in her dream! *sob sob*…

So the conclusion, we are not going to bring her for any movies again till she is really READY for that. Maybe 1-2 years later?

Outfits from Jshoppers

I made my online purchase with Jshoppers for the very first time. I would like to thanks Agnes for her help in this “tumpang” order to Jshopper. As we buy in bulk (over JPY12K/order) we entitled free handling charges and shipping service for our parcel all the way from Japan! So without her kindness, I think the overseas freight will really cost me a bomb!

I met up with Agnes at her house to collect my orders on last Saturday (11-July). This was the first time I met up with Agnes, and I feel so good to see her and her 2 princess, Jing Ting and Jing Ern. =) They’re just too adorable! But… too bad we got to rush for a movie next so I didn’t get to catch up more with Agnes. Then the blur me, was busy unpacked and checking the clothing till forgot to give either JT or JE a hug… *Slap forehead* Adoi…

But luckily Agnes was not as blur as me… Hahaha! She took the pictures of Jing Ting and Xixi posing on sofa together when we about to leave. I love this picture most, both girls holding each other’s hands, very sweet! Heheh =) Xixi kept telling me JT is her “friend friend” after we left Agnes’ place. :D

So these are the outfits I bought for Xixi. Total 11pcs, including tops, short pants, polo dress and sun dress; only cost me RM276! All are super HUGE size… Hahaha! (Ya, I admit I’m Kiasu…) Initially thought Xixi could fit in the outfits soonest by CNY, but now I think she most probably can wear them when she turns 4yo or 5yo?! *Sakit kepala... Super Kiasu Mum*

She is too “small” in modeling those outfits as yet. But she still getting excited and contented when I tried to put on the new outfits on her =)

Some Things from IKEA

Xixi doesn’t have a proper studying table all these while. Most of the times she was doing her coloring, doodling, puzzles, and masak-masak at the alphabet mat displaying at our living hall. She sits on the mat and got to bend her waist down in order to get the best position to do her activities. Sometimes I felt so pity her because I don’t think the bending down position is comfortable. I have thought to buy her a proper studying table and chair since she will go to school soon (Yes, we will enroll her to half day childcare on September.) so that she knows she suppose to study and do her school work at the studying table in a correct position. No more bending…

We purposely made a trip down to IKEA Tampines branch on Friday (10-July) to get a set of MAMMUT children’s table and chair for Xixi. This was also Xix’s first trip to IKEA! Wow, she was very excited; insist to walk by her own during the entire shopping at IKEA, which is very good la! Then Papa and Mama could have more energy to roam around the IKEA showroom too! Heheh =) We also bought a BARNSLIG blanket for Xixi as I think the blanket really looks so sweet and comfy! I love the design because this blanket comes with 3 velcro tapes on the neck area, so no matter how Xixi flip/roll over the bed, she will still cover by the blanket. But somehow I doubt if she willing to let me put on the blanket for her at home?? But anyway, it’s a good buy… the blanket cost only $9.50!

We didn’t buy much things at IKEA though, besides the MAMMUT and BARNSLIG, we bought some plastic container, some aroma candles, a mattress protector for Xixi’s bed (recently she ter-pee on her matress a lot), a bread knife which is also selling cheap at $7.50, a stainless steel can opener…etc, all we bought are small small stuffs.

How Did I Get So Busy?

Oh gosh… today already 9th of July, but look at my archive, this is just the second post of the month! I know I’ve been very quite in the blog sphere nowadays, I seldom blog although I have many things I thought of jotting down in my blog but however if time permission I will still hop over to my blogger friend’s blog only that I might not leave you any comments… Sorry about that. So what are the things that make me busy lately? There are a few reasons actually…

Reason Number One: Change Of Daily Timetable

I tend to lead a healthy lifestyle, but frankly speaking I was a BIG eater! I love to eat BUFFET! I can really eat a lot… I tell you. Hahaha! That’s why you see me extremely chubby and clumsy in my picture few months ago. I came to a determination to DIET when my friends and relatives keep commenting me FAT! And I do not want to be categorized as 师奶(Auntie) so fast! So since 1.5months back, I started to do exercise every Monday to Friday early morning 6.15am to approximate 7am with 5kilometres jogging at my residential area. (Except weekends) That’s why I got to sleep as earlier as possible because I got to wake up 5.30am the next day morning as I seldom take afternoon nap, too many household chores awaiting for me during day time! But I’m happy with the result cos I’ve lost 4kg so far… heheh =) Previously I used to blog during Xixi’s wee hours but now since my sleeping schedule have changed, I seldom have chance to blog.

Reason Number Two: Demanding Kiddo At Home

Xixi’s attitude/behaviour changes tremendously lately. Believe it or not this sweetie pie in everybody eyes can be a devil very demanding and naughty at times too… I bet nobody will believe because all the while she was very well behaved OUTSIDE but then at home she is a real QUEEN I’m just a slave for her. She really can drive me up the wall sometimes! She was very demanding lately wanted my attention all times!! She was superb clingy lately too, I have to be within her eyesight whenever she awake. She will do very UNUSUAL things trying to attract my attention. Mumbling in her baby languages expect me to understand her needs. If happened that I ignore her or didn’t attend to her needs she will throw tantrums and cry/scream out LOUD till the whole Jalan can hear her SCREAMING! (I hope my neighbor wouldn’t mistaken that Xixi was abused by me!) One of her tactic to attract my attention was PEE EVERYWHERE when I was busy… can you come to picture it? She bangs and opens my bathroom door, crying and screaming “Mama, Mama…. Shh Shh…. Shh Shh…..” while I was in shower. In fact she already pee on the floor and wet herself! *Frustrated* Sometimes I wonder if she understand my words? I did explain to her in soft manner if she did things wrong, but somehow if she still continues behave cranky or purposely to challenge my patience I will then raise my voice. I know I’m not supposed to scold her or use hard way on her, but my emotions just turns out beyond my control sometimes. So teach me… how to handle with this kind of demanding kiddo??

This is one of her 招牌动作(favourite movement) crying and cover her face with sofa cusion when I giving her a lessons. And then the mucus and tears will mess up her face, hair and the cusion. T_T

Reason Number Three: Never Ending Cooking and Feeding

These are mainly because of Xixi too. Her picky eating habit seems to be back again. Arghh… She rejects her home cook porridge since two weeks ago, she even reject her favorites pumpkin porridge too! So meal time has become war time ever since that! I got to cook more often now (before that we can simply settle our meal outside or at my mum’s place), search for healthier recipes online, cracking my head to think about what to cook for this picky eater is definitely not easy! So despite of the cooking and preparation times, I got to go wet market almost every morning in order to get the fresh ingredients. Then the most hectic part was the ingredient to choose and the way to cook. Xixi can eat meat provided I cooked the meat till very tender, or garnish the meat with EXTRA SWEET gravy. Then some more I must hide the meat under her rice, if she spots a single piece of meat in her spoon she will REJECT straight! Or she will split out the food if she happened to “feel” the meat in her mouth. So you see… my Queen! During her good days, she could finish a bowl of porridge/rice within 20-30minutes, but lately I got to spend an hour time pestering her to swallow the food! And of cause, a lot of crying and yelling episodes happens…

Ok, I think I have to stop here. This post is more like a complaint post now… LOL! Sorry for such a lengthly post. So now you know why I was busy? Hopefully I will have more post to come ya… Stay tune!
