Weather is so hot recently!! I was thinking to eat something soupy and the dumpling from Judy’s site really makes me drools… Actually I was tends to make dumpling since weeks ago, but just too lazy have no time… heheh. So I drag and drag and finally I made my dumpling on last Saturday.
I was goggling high and low for dumpling recipe from the internet since I was craving for it so badly, and I got this recipe from Rasa Malaysia. Ingredients for dumpling can simply get from wet market: pork, medium shrimp, carrot, water chestnut, shitake mushroom and of cos the dumpling wrapper. The preparation and chopping jobs were more time consuming; however the wrapping process is much easy for me. I choose the round shape dumpling wrapper as it is easier for wrapping.
With the portion of ingredients I’ve made 22 dumplings, I still have some left-over dumpling wrapper in my fridge, thinking to make dumpling again this weekends =)

Nice dumpling there...and the ingredients is more than wanton, sure delicious...I'm drooling now and itchy to do dumpling too...
You know one time I can eat 5-6 dumplings..hahaha.
Kon lou wanton mee is very easy, just like almost what Vicky mention...but in the process of cooking the mee, you got to be quick, wanton mee is quite easy to get soft result in boiling too long.
First, boil hot water, then loosen the mee first in dry before dump into the water, while the mee in the hot water use chopstick to kacau a bit to separate it. Few seconds to a minute later, drain up all mee and put into a pot of cold water, soak and kacau a few second then take it up again and put back into the same pot of hot boil water to boil to the level of soft you want. By doing this can actually makes the mee more elastic and washing away the flour sticking on the mee.
wow...really looks very yummy!! Any idea how to cook vege ones? coz my hubby don't eat meat.
