Frankly I didn’t expect any birthday present from Xixi this year, at such a young age, she doesn’t even know how to buy or make a birthday present I guess. However, this cheeky pie really know how to cheer up my day, she give me a greatest birthday pressie by sang me a birthday song (though not a complete song) yesterday. This cheeky girl, she can sing quite well nowadays, however if she see me holding camera then she would purposely shows many “special effects”, i.e: jumping or sing out of tune. But anyway, I’m glad that I was able to capture these precious video of her singing “Happy Birthday to You Mama!” My hubby was even funny… he recorded a sound clip of Xixi’s singing and saved the sound as my hand phone ringtone. LOL!

I managed to capture two videos of my princess singing, please enjoy...

video

How is it?? Got potential to become future Soprano? Hahaha... No idea why she just likes to sing like that. Anyway, the second video is the "improved version". ;p

Xixi @ 2years 7months

Opsss… I have not been updating Xixi’s development for so many months now… Blame the laziness inside me, ok.. How time flies, just a blink of eyes, my princess Xixi turns 31months today!!

Weight: 11.3kg
Height: 92cm

Her Feeding::
From her weight and height, you would know this girl definitely grows vertically but not horizontally. She was back to be a picky eater again. Eat lesser and lesser each day, meal time is really struggling for me. She can take up to one hour to finish a bowl of rice, or worse some times just eat a few spoons. Her appetite depends on her mood also sometimes. She eats fish and veges, she loves soup, egg, guava, apple, papaya any kind of fruits; she doesn’t like meat, but somehow I still hide the meat somewhere inside her food. Since she eats lesser nowadays, she was asking for more milk. She can drinks up to 4-5times milk a day. She loves bread, she choose her favorite bread herself. She is a big fans of Lavender!

Her Teeth:
Her lower second molar erupted during her 28th months old; and her upper second molar erupted during 30th month old. Maybe due to teething, she was extremely demanding and cranky lately. She also experiencing bad flu, coughs, and throat infection during teething period.

Her progress development and behaviour::

  • Her behavior changes a lot after she goes to school. I guess she got influences by her friends and teacher at school, some changes are good but some are bad.
Good example: She is more independent now. She go to the washroom to clean her face, hands and feet after came back from school.
Bad example: She wipes her dirty hands/mouth to her cloths.

  • Teacher commenting she is a good obedient girl at school, very co-operative, cheerful smiley girl everyday. While other new student still crying adapting to the new environment, she is the only one who didn’t cry. She can mix well with her teachers and kor-kor, jie jie at school. Each day when I fetch her at school, she will start story-ing me what she has learned at school and sings the songs teachers had teach her.

  • Though she is doing quite well at school, but at home she behaves totally the opposite way. She was very cranky and demanding for the past one month. I’m not sure does she simply wants to pour her anger to me? Or she really feels uncomfortable due to teething? I have to pay 100% attention to her or else she would throw tantrum or crying without any reasons.

  • She is a chatterbox nowadays. Ever since she was 2, she starts to speak a lot. She speaks mandarin; however she can understand English quite well too. I have no problem to communicate with her now, she can speak very fluent. Sometimes she can really speak like an old lady, very long winded which can be very annoying. Haha. She started to ask many questions when we go out nowadays. Example: What’s this mummy? What color is that? If I ignore her, she will repeat and repeat till I give her some response or sometimes she will purposely tease me by saying: “huh, 你讲什么??”(huh, what you talking??)

  • She is definitely a “Daddy Girl”. My hubby is so proud of this you know… Haha. Xixi wants daddy to sleep together with her; she will share her foods with daddy; she hugs her daddy like a koala bear; she wants daddy to bring her to toilet; want daddy to carry her. She wants daddy to bath her. She only wants mummy when daddy is not around =( How sad! When she being asked who is her favorite person she will point to daddy and say “Ah-Pa lor” or “这个”

  • She is almost fully diaper-less by now. The only occasion she needs to wear diapers is sleeping time. She no longer wears diapers when we dine-out, shopping or travelling. However, to play safe, we will still bring a potty along in car and bring extra sets of outfit along whenever we go.

  • She love singing, songs she know: Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, Barney Song, ABC Song, London Bridge is Falling Down, Baa Baa Black Sheep, Are you Sleeping? 客人来, many more… She finally can recite her ABC… kekek ;p She able to recite the “Three Letter Chant” 三字经: 人之初,性本善。。。 until 子不学,断机杼。

Hopefully I didn't missed out anything... That's all for this post. =)

Ever since Xixi attends to school, she likes to do things without my assistance. At home, she tends to go toilet herself, take bath herself, wear clothes herself. If we go outing she preferred to walk by herself without want to hold our hands… Each time when I trying to help her (i.e. pull up/down her pant before/after toilet) she would tell me “妈咪走开,希希长大了,希希自己做,ok!” to go away; she has grown up, she want to do things herself! But she could get frustrated too if she didn’t manage to do things in right way.

We are very surprised to see her behaviors lately, does it means she has grown up to be more independent now? Or she just merely copies those kor-kor & jie-jie behaviors at school? Yes, I think she just like being a copy cat due to her curiosity. Honestly I will be more than happy if she really knows how to do things herself, but not yet as now. For the time being I still prefer to give her my hands because she is still a small baby in my eyes.

Just to show you how she wear the shirt in her own manner. One hand in and one hand out. ;-)

She just can't wait to be well dressed and start rolling on my bolster. Can you spot that her half butt was actually exposed?? *Shame Shame*

Xixi @ 2years 6months old.

I don’t like to carry a handbag along. Most of the time, a sling bag or a small pouch will be my best companion when I go out for marketing or shopping. I will just stuff my mobile phone, my cards, car key and some notes into it and that’s it, light and easy. But each time I came back from shopping, there will surely some loose change available in my pouch and pockets. What I normally do is keep the excess coins in a coin bank, and the notes I will keep in a pouch again. When day goes by, I noticed that the coin bank is almost full already and it’s time to break the coin bank and buy a new one.

Coincidently, when I was at my parent place for lunch just now, I stumbled upon this piggy bank which my mum bought for Xixi years ago. Since this piggy bank belongs to my little girl, I think I should take this opportunity to start educate her the benefits of savings. I will give my excess coins to her and I’m sure she will be more than happy to slot the coins into her own piggy bank! And I think this is definitely a better way to keep my silver coins.
This is a back dated post.

We brought Xixi to Enfa Smart Camp at Jusco Tebrau City on 24-Oct-2009. (Saturday).
Xixi managed to accomplish all the 5 Smart Quests and so she entitled for the Goodies bag.

Xixi solving the huge cowie puzzle at Smart Language.

Playing the huge xylophone at Smart Music.

Then, golfing at Smart Play.

In overall, it was a fruitful trip. The games were interesting enough for a 2 year old.
And look what we’ve bring back home... So many goodies.

There was a promotion running too, any purchase of Enfa products up to RM150, will get a free Oxford Dictionary and entitle for a free family photo shooting.

The free "Oxford Very First Dictionary".

And this is our family photo shooting at Enfa Kiosk. This photo will also send for a contest. The first prize winner will get a travel package to HKG Disneyland!!

Lastly, let’s see my Enfa Kid at home poses with her beloved owl. She called the owl as “Aiyoh” hahahaaa…

It is not easy to capture Xixi’s video nowadays. She would purposely make funny faces or poses weirdly unnaturally whenever she sees the camera focus on her; or worse she would just grab the camera away while I was half way recording. So come to think about it, the best solution to capture a quality complete video is to let her hold the camera, do the recording by herself.

video

This video was recorded by Xixi, she was happily recording herself while singing "一闪一闪亮晶晶" (Twinkle Twinkle Little Star in mandarin). She loves singing nowadays, the ABC song, Barney song and many more… but very bad, so far I only manage to record one complete video. Hopefully I still able to capture more videos on her very soon. =)

Xixi @ 2years 5months and 3weeks old

..... And she makes us even BUSIER!!
But of cos she bring us lots of laughter too.
Let the pictures tells...

Yesterday was the Deepavali holiday; we should supposed wake up late. Who knows the little girl of mine was getting excited to go school on this public holiday morning and hence she awake at 6.45am. *Sigh* I thought she was hungry so I gave her milk hoping that she would sleep for another 1 or 2 hours more. Too bad, I was wrong… she really thought that she has school yesterday and keep pestering us to wake up! As we ignored her and continue sleeping, she started to perform her round of treasure hunt in the room. Of course she never stops shouting asking me and hubby to wake up. As a busybody helpful girl, she used to bring my glasses to me in the morning if she happened to wake up earlier than me. No exception during this bad luck lovely holiday morning. She brought the glasses to me and attempt to wear it on for me, but I refused. I told her I still want to sleep, no glasses please. I continue sleeping for another good 5-10minutes while leaving her alone with my eyeglasses!! A while later, she gave me back my glasses on my hand and I heard she said that “妈咪,起来。戴眼镜了!”(Mummy, wake up and wear your glasses!) I opened up my eyes with a blurry vision, I could see she playing something “similar” to my glasses but at the same time what’s the glasses thingy on my hands??? I opened my eyes widely and I see my glasses in this condition.
.....
....
...
..
.

Oppssss.... I was actually holding a broken frame while she playing with the other end! No doubts, I got to get a pair of new glasses as soon as possible, because by looking at my “handicap” glasses, I know it was impossible to fix it back again! So this time, I got myself a black color plastic frame!

And this is me in my new eyewear. Kekekek ;p Hubby commented that I look younger. Wahahaha.....

Xixi oh Xixi!! Shall we blame you or thank you leh?? Because of you, your daddy got to spend another few hundreds $$!! Because of you, your mummy got a pair of new eyewear! LOL!

15-Oct-2009 marked a very important day in Xixi’s life, in my life as well. The day we’ve anticipated for long! Today is the first day Xixi go school!! We’ve been enrolled her to half day childcare at one of the daycare centre near our place. I’ve been telling her that she needs to go school soon without my companion, surprisingly she give me kind of exciting look, I know she must be looking forward the day to come!

Early in the morning, after shower and milk, I sent her to the daycare centre. Xixi was very much fascinated by the environment, she even mimic one of the kor-kor seating down on the floor, take off her shoes and put her shoes nicely on the rack! While I was talking with the teacher in charge, she obediently sits one side playing toys. After that, when it’s time for me to leave, she cried. So heart pain seeing her cry while calling “Mummy, don’t go, Mummy, come!!” I told myself not to be soft hearted, because my intention to send her to daycare is to train her to be more independent. Luckily she only cried a little, after the teacher carried her away, she was okay. I quickly sneaked out from the classroom, have a peek from the window; she already stopped crying.

After reach home, I still miss my girl a lot… Hahaha felt so cruel to leave her alone with the teacher!! Time pass real slow when she is not at home. I called the centre to check on her, teacher told me she was doing well. No crying; she ate some biscuits and drank a cup of tea; then watching the kor-kor and jie-jie dancing; teacher also taught her some objects using flash cards. I was so much relief after hearing that. I continue my house chores but still miss her too bits, too many worries because this was the first time she being takes care by someone else.

I supposed to fetch her at 1pm, but somehow I reached 15minues earlier with my parents. Hahaha.. ya lah, can’t wait to see how’s my girl doing at the daycare. The moment I saw her in the classroom, she was surrounded by many jie-jie. She is the shortest and petite one. So cute!! Jie-jie helps her to carry her Hello Kitty bag, wow looks like she is being sociable even just the first day in school! She gave me a big grin when she sees me! Hahaha! She also called out “Gong-gong” loudly when she sees my dad! Oh… what an unforgettable memory!!

Teacher comments her very “guai”乖。 Only that she eats quite slows during lunch time. She ate watermelon and drinks plenty of water; she even tries to feed one of her classmates with water! Hahaha… little busybody! When she being asked still want to come or not?“还要来吗?”she answered me “want! Want!”“还要,还要!”at the same time she a bit reluctant to go home! LOL!!

Hopefully from tomorrow onwards she will be as good as today, being very co-operative and obedient girl when go school.

“Girl, mummy is so proud of you! Hugsss…”

Eagerly want to go school early in the morning! Look at what's in her hands? She bring her beloved nappy along too... Adoi. Teacher told me she used to wrap her face/hands using her "smelly" nappy in class! *Funny*
I experienced very bad sea sickness on third day when the ship slowly reaches Phuket Island. Even when I still in my dreamland early morning, I could feel the ship swaying. Perhaps the wave at Indian Ocean is much stronger because during the first 2days journey while we cruising along the straits of Malacca, I have no sea sickness at all.

We joined the shore excursion tour on third day, so we woke up slightly earlier to take breakfast. We had Dim-sum as breakfast again, Yes, we still love Chinese cuisine the best, Hahaha. We had Dim-sum breakfast all the 3 days straight!

Here are some random pictures of our breakfast:

After a yummy treat, we disembarked to Phuket Island. The first stop was at a local handicraft/souvenir centre, but too bad we’re not interested at all, so we just hanging around the places, took a cup of free drinks then hoping to go our next destination which is Patong beach.

The first thing we reached Patong beach is to look for place for body massage. Yes, there were lots of shop lots offering Thai full body massage or foot massage. But we were there quite early, so most of the shop still closed yet. We just went in one of it, and five of us enjoyed massage! I must give thumbs up to Xixi, as she was very co-operative during our adult massage session!! She was a bit strange when she see my mum, my aunt and me lying down for massage. Hubby bring her out for a street walk, then come back she just being a good girl sitting beside me till the whole massage session end.

After massages, we do some shopping and photographing along the Patong beach. Then we went for lunch, my parents were opts for seafood so we went to this seafood restaurant called Patong Seafood Restaurant for lunch. Sadly to say, the seafood lunch was very disappointing! Their dishes were not up to expectation and my dad even complaint that the fish was not fresh enough! Worst, the simple lunch with about 6-8 dishes can simply cost us 4000Thai Baths!! Not worth at all! There got not many food varieties for my Xixi too, so Xixi only got to eat some pineapple rice and few pieces of crackers. Luckily my mum bought some sweet corn from the street earlier, so Xixi got to enjoy some sweet corn too.

Our very "costly" lunch. Athough Xixi got not many food to eat, but she just simply happy playing with the cutlery. hahaha...

Some pictures taken from Patong Beach. Weather was not good, partly coudly, drizzle start on our way back to tour bus.

Didn't shop much at Thailand, due to Phuket is tourist spot, things are not cheap compared with Malaysia. Bought a Hello Kitty bag for Xixi at 390Bath, thought it was cheap at first, but then I saw a similar bag at Singapore last week selling at only S$12++... =( And also a pair of top and pants from the trader market; price: 220Bath if not wrong.

The weather was not so good on the day we visited Phuket. After lunch, while on our way shopping and sightseeing it started drizzle. We have no choice, so we walked back to our tour bus and planned to go back the cruise again. My poor Xixi, she was extremely tired till she dozed off in the bus. Till we returned to the jetty, there’s trader market selling souvenir, clothes, foods and drinks. We bought some foods, can drinks and a pair of clothes for Xixi. Though it was raining at Patong beach, but it was super humid there at the trader market! We go back to our cabin, shower, makan and nap! I awoke from nap when the cruise is about to leave Phuket island, and able to capture some pictures of the beautiful island.

At night, we had Gala dinner treat at Bella Vista Western restaurant. This Gala dinner we actually got to book in advanced, we supposed to book the Chinese cuisine one, because my parents preferred that, but too bad, it was fully booked already. The dinner experience was not really good, firstly because my parents actually not really like western food; they hardly find their preferred food in the menu. Secondly I was still in my sea sickness, in dizzy mode all the times, let alone eating! Same to my auntie, she was in the same boat as mine, she got sea sickness on that day too =( Hubby did complaint the food, but in overall he was okay. So, after all, Xixi is the one who enjoyed the Gala Dinner to the most, reason being the kids meal specially ordered for her is very nice! Hahaha… She walloped all the fries and veges in her plate, left only the fried fillet for us. Ya, we called her vegetarian!

Basically that's all about our third day. I'm trying to make the post short. Lack of time for blogging nowadays =(
